Dayang posts stronger Q2 pre-tax profit

Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd has reported a higher profit before tax of RM30.18 million for its second quarter ended June 30, 2011 compared to RM18.26 million in the same quarter last year.
Revenue also rose to RM98.7 million from RM56.5 million in the previous corresponding quarter.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, the company attributed the stronger performance to higher value of work orders received and performed in the current quarter.
For its cumulative period ended June 30, 2011, the company also registered a higher profit before tax of RM52.38 million, compared to RM34.49 million recorded in the previous corresponding period.
Revenue also increased to RM182.05 million compared with RM99.54 million previously.--Bernama
