Eurozone June orders down
BRUSSELS: Eurozone industrial new orders unexpectedly fell in June as major industries appeared to cut back on spending, reflecting concerns about the outlook for the economy in the 17-country currency bloc.
New orders fell by 0.7% on the month, against expectations for a 0.5% increase, the figures from Eurostat showed yesterday. In the year to June 2011, orders increased by 11.1%, against forecasts for a 12.1% rise. Reuters
