Xidelang Hldgs posts higher profit for 1H2011

Xidelang Holdings Ltd reported a higher profit before tax of RM52.407 million for the six months ended June 30, 2011 from RM49.805 million previously.
Revenue for the current period was higher at RM224.312 million from RM214.198 million previously, Xidelang said in its filing to Bursa today.
Profit before tax for the second quarter ended June 30, 2011 was also higher at RM27.779 million from RM25.786 million previously.
The group's financial performance for the current financial year under review was largely boosted by an improvement in the sales of its China subsidiaries.
The board of directors are optimistic that the group's prospects and the outlook of the sportswear industry for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2011, would be favourable. This is due to the rising affluence of China's population. -- Bernama
