Hong Kong: Down to more than 2-year low
SHARES fell 1 per cent yesterday to a more than two-year low on eurozone fears and nervousness ahead of an expected Federal Reserve announcement on boosting the US economy.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index lost 190.63 points to end at 18,824.17.
"The aggressive selling reflects that some funds just want cash right now, and part of it is likely due to redemption pressure," said Ben Kwong, CEO at KGI Asia. - AFP
