TomTom launches products in Malaysia
TomTom, the world's leading provider of in-car location and navigation products and services, launched a new range of premium GPS and the more affordable Via range to the Malaysian market today.
Available in Malaysia for the first time, the two new models -- GO 2050 and
GO2050 World -- contain TomTom's latest technologies.
Valerie Cross, TomTom Asia Pacific PR Manager, said the GO 2050 contains
features such as the "premium 5" Fluid Touch screen" which responds to every
gesture for a faster and more interactive navigation experience.
"The TomTom GO 2050 World features maps of Southeast Asia, Australia, New
Zealand, Canada, Europe, North America and South Africa as well as major towns and cities of Swaziland, Lesotho, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi, Angola and Zambia," Cross said during the launch here.
The new GO 2050 is retailed at RM999 while TomTom GO 2050 World is retailed at RM1,249 and is available immediately from TomTom authorised retail outlets and TomTom's first concept store in Asia Pacific located at Pikom ICT Mall CapSquare.
As for the Via range, it is retailed at RM499 for the Via 220 range, RM599
for the Via 260 range and RM699 for the Via 280 range.
TomTom Asia Pacific Senior Marketing Manager Winnie Kwan said the new
addition to the TomTom portfolio comes complete with maps of seven Southeast Asia countries.
"The TomTom Via series also offers TomTom's latest map guarantee, meaning if a newer map becomes available within 90 days of using the device, drivers can download it for free and always start with the latest map," Kwan said. -- Bernama
