China inflation and output slow sharply
BEIJING: China’s economy lost steam in November as inflation and output slowed sharply, fuelling pressure on Beijing to further relax credit restrictions to prevent a hard landing.
The country’s consumer price index, a key gauge of inflation, rose 4.2% year-on-year in November, the National Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.
The producer price index rose 2.7% in November compared with 5% in October. – AFP
