RM2 company buys 25% stake in Bina Goodyear

PETALING JAYA: A shelf company with a paid up capital of RM2 – Bersatu Jayamaju Sdn Bhd – has purchased 12.5 million shares or about 25% stake in construction and property firm Bina Goodyear Bhd for RM8.75mil or 70 sen per share.
Filings with Bursa Malaysia showed that the transaction was completed on Dec 7.
On
the same day, Bina Goodyear directors Wong Chick Wai and Eric Lai
collectively disposed of the same amount of the shares at the same
price.
A check with the Companies Commission of Malaysia on
Bersatu Jayamaju revealed that one Roslinda Bahafeyar and one Rafidah
Taib were its directors. One Foong Woan Ling was listed as secretary.
All were appointed on Nov 11. The management of Bina Goodyear could not
be reached for comments.
Bina Goodyear has completed contracts in excess of RM3.3bil since 1983. The counter closed two sen higher to 72 sen yesterday.
