no matter how i advice u guy don touch low worth counter such as drb cd ce and dialog etc....low worth mean....even mom chiong 10 cents....for mm is nothing....they still can sell...such as drb cc cd that only worth around 50% value compare to market price.
but my puzzle only pchem ca cc....negative premium and how come bb movement not in tandem with mom
sometime no neccessary in tandem, they are creating a deceiving impression to bb buyers, confusing thier decision making.
like that making trading even more dynamic and unpredictable.
if we cant predict...or even wysiwyg is not chun...then forget of those counter....
at elast we should be grateful that cimb mm counter still predictable...

Getting a Glimpse of Issuers’ Market-Making Activities | [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] | [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] | [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

When buying structured warrants, one must make sure that he is not buying the warrants at very high valuation so that the instruments track the underlying movement effectively. One way to better equipped in trading structured warrants is to look at issuers’ market making activities. Unlike warrant traders in Hong Kong, we are not as fortunate to be able to lay our hands on issuers’ market making activities on a daily basis. Bursa Malaysia only requires issuers to publish their market making activities at the end of the month. The following table is an extract from AmInvestment Bank Market Making activities report from November 2010. The information provided by the issuers contains each warrants amount outstanding, number of warrants bought and sold during the month and the average prices. Notably missing from the information is the portion of warrants held by the public. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] This information is only listed on the Quarterly Report by the issuers as shown below. (Extracted from CIMB Quarterly Market Making Report ending September)[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Percentage of warrants held by public is actually more useful information for buying and selling warrants. In order to make money from structured warrants, it is important for investors to understand issuers’ business model. Issuers make money by selling warrants for a premium. How much premium they make is typically determined by warrants pricing model. As private placement of warrants is no longer feasible under current environment, issuers will have to sell the warrants in the open market. The best time to sell and be able to maximize the profit would be during the first few days of initial listing of the warrants. This is because after some time, interest in the older warrants fades (unless there is a big movement in the mother share) and issuers go on to issue another warrant of the same underlying. As a trader, we must know where the buying and selling are from. For warrants with high percentage holdings by the public, we are most likely be buying and selling to other retail investors. For warrants with low percentage holdings by the public, we are most likely to be trading against the issuers. In Hong Kong, issuers will advise the public to trade the warrants with low public percentage holdings because issuers will strive to market make so that their warrants track the underlying movement closely. If the public holdings percentage is high, issuers may not be able to market make effectively due to the presence of large retail buying and selling in that particular warrant. In Malaysia, the above theory does not really work. Whereas there are many issuers in Hong Kong who would buy up their competitors’ warrants the moment they are underpriced (in terms of implied volatility), Malaysia warrants market is different because there are so few players and the bid-ask spread is large. In Malaysia, it may be better to trade a warrant with higher public holdings so that we can get better bid-ask spread. Alan VoonWarrants Specialist |

Investors who intend to punt in structured warrants should look at this latest example to decide whether it is worth playing with this kind of instrument. As illustrated in some previous articles on newly listed structured warrants such as WYNN-CA, buying an actively traded new underlying warrants would likely end up as a frustrating experience. Let’s take a look on the first structured call warrants on Hartalega Holdings Berhad (HARTA) issued by CIMB as an example. The tables below are the historical prices table for both the underlying share and the call warrant (HARTA-CA) for the first three days of trading for the warrant. HARTA-CA has an exercise ratio of 8 and exercise price of RM7.00. HARTA-CA
HARTA
From the table above, we can see that HARTA-CA was actively traded on the first day of listing 11 Feb 2010 with about 6.98 million warrants traded. HARTA-CA price range for that day was between 15 sen and 22 sen with the closing price at 19 sen. The underlying share HARTA was trade between RM7.09 and RM7.20. The mother share HARTA actually made a big move today (17 Feb 2010), closing up 24 sen or 3.4% at RM7.38 from RM7.14 on 12 Feb 2010. However, if an investor had thought he can use HARTA-CA to enjoy leveraged return, he will be disappointed. HARTA-CA only ended up 0.5 sen up (actually 18.5 was the ask price, the realistic price for that day is 18 sen). The price behaviour of HARTA-CA suggests that investors cannot expect this call warrant to track the mother share price effectively. If you cannot make money on the warrant when the mother share is up 24 sen, then perhaps this warrant should be avoided. This is not a company warrant where the price is left to the market supply and demand but a structured warrant that is supposed to track the underlying movement. The issuer has once again make investors wanting to stay away from this product. This is a very disappointing development for the structured warrants market in Malaysia. this is how mm do to a very low worth bb....even mom up 40 cents also no use if bb worth is just say 40 50% of the market price...
if i am the issuer..i also do the same thing....i have a product that worth 500 only..say a phone...but in case u want to buy from me at rm1000 price tag...who don want to sell as mucha s possible? but if that phone say limited edition cost me rm980 and with the potential to increase in value, then i may think twice whether wanna sell or even buy back at rm990......use this logic

therefore, mm not worry that their product no want to buy..even proton cf...yet still people q there...despite out of money for s#@&...
why mm don wanna throw it to 0.005? the reason is if they thorw to 0.005, they earn less..might as well they q the first on selling(they can always make their q at first q)....and q the last on buying....whoever buy then they get "free money"..bb worth zero but they can sell for 2 cent why not?...wait for time approaching to expiry then slowly reduce it to lower bid....what they want is they clear as many proton bb as possible cause those bb is definitely out of money....yet they are still handful of people have greed like dr kim...hahaha...greed will kill them...
