Boustead Heavy Ind refutes privatisation talks
Boustead Heavy Industries Corporation Bhd (BHIC) today reiterated that it has not received any indication or direction from its shareholders with regards to any major acquisition of shares in the company.
The clarification comes after media reports on Wednesday which claimed that
the shares of BHIC had gained interest following the privatisation talks.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, the company said the move, which might
include potential privatisation of BHIC, was not in its plan now.
"Boustead Holdings Bhd, the major shareholder of BHIC had on Dec 21, 2011,
publicly announced that it is not considering any proposal to privatise its BHIC
unit," the company said. -- Bernama
