Minister:Aussie govt against palm-oil labelling
The Australian government opposes legislation to introduce palm-oil labelling, Trade Minister Craig Emerson told reporters in Kuala Lumpur today.
The bill, proposed by Independent Senator Nick Xenophon, would enforce mandatory labeling of the edible oil to certify whether it was produced through environmentally-sustainable practices, according to the Australian government's website. -- Bloomberg
