1BestariNet by YTL

This 1bestarinet is old news with idea approved in Jan 2011 and awarded to YTL in October 2011. In Jan 2012 YTL started to install in school with YES ZOOM modem. They cannot be serious right, according to the term of tender the link to the school should be using fibre, so how can use ZOOM modem? YTL don't have fibre connection right, that is why using ZOOM modem? So why is still carry on?

The tender was heavily criticized as not appropriate given and a fair tender in 2011. The tender announcement was removed from the Education tender website after few hours of posting in 2011. You all can read the Star link on this in 2011

.............All sorts of technologies can be used, be it fibre or wireless technologies including Vsat, wireless, WiFi, but the link to the school should be via fibre...........

Untuk makluman pihak sekolah,pihak syarikat pemasangan1BestariNet iaitu YTL Communications sedang melaksanakan kerja-kerja pemasangan 1BestariNet di sekolah. oleh yang demikian,mohon kerjasama pihak sekolah untuk memberikan kerjasama kepada syarikat tersebut.

Pihak sekolah,perlu memahami bahawa projek 1BestariNet adalah projek jalur lebar capaian internet bagi semua sekolah untuk mengakses bahan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan platform Virtual Learning Enviroment (VLE). Syarikat tersebut,akan memasang peralatan capaian internet iaitu ZOOM, dengan standard bilangan ZOOM adalah 3 + 1.

Bilangan ZOOM adalah bergantung kepada kajian pihak kontraktor di mana semua kawasan utama iaitu makmal komputer, bilik guru, pejabat pengurusan dan pentadbiran sekolah, pusat sumber dan common area boleh mencapai internet termasuk kawasan asrama, jika asrama dalam kawasan sekolah dan boleh melebihi atau kurang 3 + 1 ZOOM. untuk makluman lanjut, sila muat turun Garis PanduanPihak Sekolah bagi pemasangan 1BestariNet.
