MIER ups 2012 growth forecast to 4.2pc
The Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER) upgraded its 2012 growth forecast from 3.7 per cent to 4.2 per cent.
Malaysia's macroeconomic indicators and Tenth Malaysia Plan spending and implementation of ETP (Economic Transformation Plan) projects will prop up domestic demand this year.
MIER executive director Dr Zakariah Abdul Rashid said consumer sentiments and business conditions are both up on improving confidence.
