MMC Gamuda JV accepts RM8.82bil contract MRT project

KUALA LUMPUR: The joint venture of MMC Corp Bhd and Gamuda Bhd has accepted the RM8.82bil contract for the underground works package for the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit.
Gamuda said on Friday the MMC Gamuda KVMRT (T) Sdn Bhd would undertake the construction for the 9.5-km stretch from Semantan North Portal to Maluri South Portal.
The package comprised of the design and construction of tunnels, underground stations and associated works.
At RM8.82bil, it is the biggest portion of the RM30bil MRT project.
Project supervisor Mass Rapid Transit Corp Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) had said the consortium offered the most competitive price.
