UOB Kay Hian Research initiates coverage on Perisai, TP RM1.59

UALA LUMPUR: UOB Kay Hian Malaysia Research has initiated coverage on Perisai Petroleum with a Buy and target price of RM1.59.
It said on Tuesday Perisai Petroleum is a budding oil and gas (O&G) upstream player in Malaysia after the emergence of a strategic shareholder and a change in management since 2010.
"The company has assets deployed in Malaysia and the region across the entire offshore upstream O&G value chain; in oil field development and production to offshore support vessels. All of Perisai's assets are backed by long-term charters as part of their risk minimisation strategy," it said.
UOB Kay Hian Research said future value-enhancing acquisitions of niche assets will re-rate Perisai.
