VisDynamics expects rebound in H2 as chip demand picks up
KUALA LUMPUR: Semiconductor equipment solution provider VisDynamics Holdings Bhd is expecting a rebound in the second half of the year, citing a turnaround in the semiconductor business.
Its chief executive Choy Ngee Hoe said the supply and demand for semiconductors were expected to be in balance by then and there could be an under-supply situation.
Choy expected demand for semiconductors to be spurred by demand for personal computers and smartphones including Apple Inc products and Android.
"Apple is really driving the market and others will want to compete as well. I think Microsoft's Windows 8 will be very big for the market too," he said.
