Bursa aims to start bond trading in Q3
Bursa Malaysia Bhd, the country’s exchange operator, aims to start allowing individual investors to trade bonds on the bourse in the third quarter of this year, Chief Executive Officer Tajuddin Atan said.
Bursa and the country’s Securities Commission have agreed in principle to start and are at the final preparation stage, Tajuddin said in an interview in Kuala Lumpur today.
This will start with government-guaranteed or investment-grade bonds, he said. -- Bloomberg
