Dagang Net inks MoU with ICDT

KUALA LUMPUR: Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd, Malaysia's leading e-commerce service provider, recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT).

ICDT is the subsidiary body of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)entrusted with trade promotion and investment among OIC member countries.

Under the MOU, Dagang Net and ICDT will undertake technical co-operation and partnership in areas of trade facilitation, e-commerce and Global Halal Exchange.

"Dagang Net is pleased and prepared to share its expertise, technological know-how and experience as the operator and Malaysia's National Single Window with ICDT and support its efforts in easing and facilitating intra-trade growth among the 57 OIC member countries," said Dagang Net Chief Executive Officer Zalina Mohammed Salleh in a statement today.

Such a partnership, she added, is in line with the government's efforts to promote Malaysian services and local brands in the global market. The MOU also marks a significant milestone in Dagang Net's efforts to penetrate international markets.--BERNAMA
