Crude palm oil futures fall to lowest since October
KUALA LUMPUR: Crude palm oil (CPO) futures for third month delivery
fell to RM2,898 a tonne at midday on Thursday, the lowest since Oct 24
last year.
Bloomberg data showed that soybeans traded on the Chicago Board of Trade fell 4.5 cents to US$1,315.25.
News
reports said the there could be an increase in soybean crops following
expectations of rain in the soybean growing areas in the US.
Another factor for the decline was the worsening euro zone crisis would dampen demand for the commodities.
