Johor Corp's RM3b Islamic MTN oversubscribed 3.68 times

KUALA LUMPUR: Johor Corporation's RM3bil Islamic medium term notes (IMTN) programme, issued under the Wakalah Billstithmar, was oversubscribed by 3.68 times.
It said on Thursday the Sukuk Wakalah attracted RM11.05bil through a book-building exercise.
"The
Sukuk Wakalah is irrevocably and unconditionally guaranteed by the
government of Malaysia for the entire nominal amount of RM3bil and any
accrued profit distributions thereon," it said.
Johor Corp
said the IMTN received strong interest from financial institutions,
insurance and Takaful companies, asset managers and corporate investors.
Johor
Corp said the RM3bil IMTN comprised of three series. The series one
five-year ITMN, maturing on June 14, 2017 with a nominal amount of
RM400mil, has a profit rate of 3.48%.
The series two seven-year IMTN, maturing on June 14, 2019 with a nominal amount of RM800mil, has a profit rate of 3.68%.
It
added the series three 10-year IMTN maturing on June 14, 2022 with a
nominal amount of RM1.80bil, has a profit rate of 3.84%.
