Yeoh calls for transparent Asean regulatory framework
KUALA LUMPUR: YTL Corp group managing director Tan Sri Francis Yeoh has urged Asean member countries to work on a transparent regulatory framework in order to attract foreign investors.
"A
cross-boundary framework will be able to connect the 500 million
population in Asean," he said at a press conference on Thursday.
Yeoh said that people would benefit from cheaper rates of utilities if such a framework could be realised.
"Technically, it is not difficult but it is more of the political difficulties," he said.
