Ideal Jacobs seeks new markets for China facilities (0162)

PETALING JAYA: Ideal Jacobs (M) Corp Bhd
is looking to expand the domestic and export markets of its production
facilities in Xiamen and Suzhou, China, to meet the rising demand from
existing and new customers.
Ideal Jacobs produces graphic
overlays, nameplates, custom labels, membrane switches, fabric over
foam gaskets, die-cut components, injection-moulded panels and machined
parts.
The group said the direction of its China business was to
concentrate on business development to expand the domestic and export
markets.
“(That would) entail the expansion of product range,
geographical expansion through the setting up of wider marketing and
distribution network within China, and identifying merger and
acquisition target that complements our business,” it said.
Early this month, the ACE Market company acquired a 51% stake in Awan Idaman Sdn Bhd.
The
acquisition gives it access to Awan Idaman’s photoluminescent
technology to create labels or signage with feature that glow for up to
20 hours.
