KUALA LUMPUR (June 3): Bina Puri Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of BINA PURI HOLDINGS BHD [], has accepted the letter of award from Consortium of Apex Energy Sdn Bhd and PT Rekayasa Industri for a RM22.35 million contract.
The contract is for fabrication and CONSTRUCTION [] of building works package 3 in Sipitang, Sabah. The construction is expected to be completed in 12 months.
With the award, the current unbuilt book order stands at RM1.68 billion and is expected to contribute positively to Bina Puri Group's earnings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2013, the company said in a statement.
Bina Puri has a strong position in Sabah and Sarawak, especially in Sabah, the company added.
