KUALA LUMPUR (June 26): Bina Puri Holdings Bhd has secured a BND109.5 million (RM281.5 million) residential property construction project in Brunei.

In a statement to Bursa Malaysia today, Bina Puri said its Brunei unit Bina Puri (B) Sdn Bhd had obtained the letter of tender acceptance from Brunei's development ministry.

Bina Puri said it was appointed master planner for the two-year high-density development involving 1,000 residential units within Kg Lugu.

"With this latest award, the group’s unbuilt book order stands at RM2.09 billion as at to date. The management is confident to secure more projects for the year 2014.

"The above is not expected to have any material effect on the net assets and earnings of Bina Puri group for the financial year ending 31 December 2014," Bina Puri said.
