KUALA LUMPUR (June 7): The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher today, tracking gains on the underlying cash market, dealers said.

At the close, spot month June 2013, September 2013 and December 2013 rose 4.5 points each to 1,771, 1,771.5 and 1,772, respectively, while July 2013 was four points higher at 1,774.

Turnover slipped to 5,859 lots from 7,794 lots on Thursday, while open interest decreased to 36,594 contracts from 38,764 contracts previously.

The underlying FBM KLCI ended 5.99 points better at 1,775.59.
