LONDON (June 13): European stock futures pointed to a sharply lower open on Thursday, tracking steep losses on Wall Street and in Asia, on growing concerns the U.S. Federal Reserve might scale back its stimulus operations sooner than expected.

KUALA LUMPUR (June 13): The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives were traded broadly lower at mid-day, tracking the downtrend on the underlying cash market, dealers said.

At lunch break, June 2013 fell 19.5 points to 1,752, July 2013 lost 19 points to 1,755.5, September 2013 erased 17.5 points to 1,755 and December 2013 declined seven points to 1,769.

Turnover stood at 8,627 lots while open interest totalled 38,761 contracts.

The underlying FBM KLCI ended the morning session at 1,756.18, down 18.94 points. -- BERNAMA
