Bernama corrected: Amendment to paragraph two
KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 30): The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher today, in synch with the bullish cash market.
Spot month December 2013 rose 15 points to 1,868.5, January 2014 added 17 points to 1,873, March 2014 gained 16.5 points to 1,872.5, and June 2014 increased 16.5 points to 1,860.
Turnover fell to 8,816 lots from 14,510 lots last Friday, while open interest decreased to 54,729 contracts, from 60,482 contracts previously.
The underlying FBM KLCI finished at a new all-time high of 1,872.52, up 11.46 points from last Friday.
