KUALA LUMPUR: REDtone International Bhd has appointed its former director, Shaifubahrim Saleh, as president and chief business officer of the Ace Market-listed company.
Shaifubahrim was on REDtone’s board from from 2003 to 2010. Prior to joining REDtone, he was president and chief executive officer of the National ICT Association of Malaysia.
“Shaifubahrim will play a key role in leading REDtone’s strategic business initiatives, especially in the government sector. REDtone is now focusing on leveraging on its strengths to further drive its growth,” said REDtone managing director Datuk Wei Chuan Beng in a statement yesterday.
Shaifubahrim was a board member of the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) Malaysia (1999-2004) and chapter member of Talents-Ideas-Enterprise (TiE) Council.
Currently, he is president of the Malaysian Service Providers Confederation, chairman of the University-Industry Advisory Council of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), SME business advisory panel member of SME Corp Malaysia and member of the product development and commercialisation fund management committee at Multimedia Development Corp Sdn Bhd.
His most recent appointment effective November 2013 was as board member of Malaysia Venture Capital Management Bhd.
