KUALA LUMPUR (Mar 26): The [size=14]Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has pared its stake in Top Glove Corp Bhd ([You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Financial Dashboard), thus ceasing to be a substantial shareholder in the glovemaker.

According to a Bursa Malaysia filing today, the EPF disposed of five million shares or 0.8% of Top Glove's (fundamental: 2.5; valuation: 1.3) issued capital, leaving it with 26.9 million shares or a 4.36% stake.

This is compared with the 31.9 million shares or 5.17% stake that the EPF held on March 23, according to another filing.

Top Glove shares ended one sen higher at RM5.59 today, bringing a market capitalisation of RM3.5 billion.

(Note: The Edge Research's fundamental score reflects a company's profitability and balance sheet strength, calculated based on historical numbers. The valuation score determines if a stock is attractively valued or not, also based on historical numbers. A score of 3 suggests strong fundamentals and attractive valuations.)
