Amway Q1 pre-tax profit rises to RM29m

Amway (Malaysia) Holdings Bhd's pre-tax profit rose six per cent to
RM29.019 million in the first quarter ended March 31, 2012 from
RM27.368 million posted in the same quarter in 2011.
It was mainly due to higher sales revenue, it said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today.
The
Group's sales revenue recorded an increase of 3.8 per cent to RM179.251
million due to the success of sales and marketing programmes to
stimulate demand for Amway products.
Amway said based on the
first quarter performance and the sales and marketing programmes put in
place for the current year, the group will achieve its single-digit
growth in sales revenue target for the year. -- Bernama
