Plantation stocks gain, palm oil prices up
Plantation stocks gain in 9.36am Kuala Lumpur trading.
Kuala
Lumpur Kepong Bhd advanced 1.1 per cent to RM23.30, poised for its
highest close since May 11. TDM Bhd climbed 1.7 per cent to RM4.25,
while TSH Resources Bhd added 0.8 per cent to RM2.53.
Palm oil
rose 2.3 per cent to RM3,088 (US$976) a metric ton on the Malaysia
Derivatives Exchange yesterday, the highest price for the most-active
contract at close since May 31. Futures climbed 2.3 per cent last week,
trimming the quarterly decline to 12 per cent. -- Bloomberg
