Perodua H1 sales at 93,000 cars, up 17% on-yr

KUALA LUMPUR: Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (Perodua) sold 93,000 cars in the January-June period of 2012, which was a 17% increase from a year ago.
It said on Wednesday it was keeping its sales target of 188,000 cats for this year despite the challenging industry environment.
Perodua said the 93,000 cars sold were about 31% of the estimated 303,100 of total industry volume in the six months of the year.
For June 2012, Perodua sales jumped 84.3% to 16,400 cars from 8,900 units a year ago.
