MAA: H1 total industry volume up slightly to 301,224 units (1198)
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Automotive Association reports total
industry volume for the January-June period increased to 301,224 units.
According to the data released by the trade body on Thursday, this was a marginal 1.35% increase from 297,203 units a year ago.
On Wednesday, Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (Perodua) announced it sold 93,000 cars in the first half of 2012, a 17% increase from a year ago.

had then said the 93,000 cars accounted for 31% of its estimated
303,100 of total industry volume in the six months of the year.
