See Hup unit to buy land for RM3.1m (7053)

See Hup Consolidated Bhd's wholly-owned unit, See Hup Transport Co Sdn Bhd, has signed a sale and purchase agreement with Penang Development Corp (PDC) to acquire a piece of land in Daerah Seberang Perai Tengah, Penang for RM3.114 million.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, See Hup Cons said the acquisition of the 1.54-hectare land was expected to be completed within 12 months.
See Hup Con said with the acquisition, the group would be able to further consolidate its existing depot in one area to facilitate monitoring of its fleet of vehicles.
See Hup Transport is primarily engaged in trading in general merchandise, transporter and general carrier of goods. -- Bernama
