Maxis sees 217.05m shares crossed at RM1.36b (6012)

KUALA LUMPUR: Maxis Bhd saw a total of 217.05 million shares transacted in several off-market deals on Friday valued at a total of RM1.363bil.
Stock market data showed the shares, or a 2.89% stake, were crossed in several deals at an average price of RM6.28.
At midday, Maxis was down 15 sen to RM6.39 sen. It was one of the most active counters with 13.21 million shares done.
Reuters reported that tycoon T. Ananda Krishnan was selling up to 375 million shares worth around RM2.35bil.
The
news wire said Ananda Krishnan sold the Maxis shares at prices ranging
between RM6.21 and RM6.34 per share, which was a 3%-5% discount to the
closing price of RM6.54 on Thursday.
