AirAsia to offer Bangkok-Wuhan route (5099)
AirAsia Bhd announced its new route from Bangkok to Wuhan, which will commence on Oct 19, 2012.
The
low-cost airline is offering promotional all-in fares for the route
from RM341 one way, and is available for bookings from today until Sept
5, 2012 for travel period from Oct 19 until May 22, 2013.
In
a statement, AirAsia Group Commercial Head Kathleen Tan said the
Chinese market is a key target for the airline this year, noting that
Thai AirAsia has been very successful in penetrating the country so far.
She cited the Bangkok-Chongqing route as an example that quickly gained popularity.
"The
route has enjoyed 80 per cent passenger capacity since its launching,
an achievement that has emboldened AirAsia to add more destinations in
China, both for tourism and business travellers.
"We chose Wuhan as our latest destination as it is a gateway to central China and further adds to our network's connectivity.
"We are confident that the Bangkok-Wuhan route will be another popular route," she added. -- Bernama
