Felda Global: Interim dividend is for all eligible shareholders (5222)

KUALA LUMPUR: The 5.5 sen interim dividend declared by Prime
Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak for Felda Global Ventures (FGV)
Holdings Bhd will be paid to all eligible FGV shareholders and not only
to Felda settlers having FGV shares.

The payment is subject to a
single-tier system introduced by the Inland Revenue Board, FGV said.
Under the system, the dividend amount is exempted from all taxes, it
said.

Najib had on Tuesday declared a 5.5 sen per share interim
dividend which wolud be paid in three months from the date of the
dividend announcement or by November 27 at the latest.

In line
with the procedures set by Bursa Malaysia, FGV said, the eligibility
for the dividend would be determined based on the number of settlers
who still held FGV shares at the close of Bursa Malaysia trading on the
eligibility day.





FGV said the eligibility date would only be known from follow-up announcements by the company through Bursa Malaysia soon. Bernama
