Mulpha International issues US$65m debt notes (3905)

KUALA LUMPUR: Mulpha International Bhd's
unit has issued US$65mil nominal amount of zero coupon notes, the bulk
of which would be used to subscribe for securities issued by its
Australian associate.
Mulpha SPV Ltd
had on Tuesday issued the notes with a maturity date of Sept 10, 2014.
The notes, guaranteed by Mulpha International, will be listed on the
Labuan International Finance Exchange.
It said the proceeds of
US$55mil from the issuance of the notes would be used to partly fund
its full entitlement of new securities by FKP Property Group, a 26.22% associate listed on the Australian stock exchange.
