MISC extends losses

KUALA LUMPUR: MISC Bhd shares extended its losses late Thursday on profit taking after Petroliam Nasional Bhd's takeover offer failed.
At 3.02pm, MISC was down 19 sen to RM4.33. There were 8.11 million shares done.
The
FBM KLCI fell 1.04 points to 1,706.31. Turnover was 412.47 million
shares done valued at RM975.49mil. There were 231 gainers, 295 losers
and 277 counters unchanged.
As at last Friday, Petronas secured
acceptances which took its stake in MISC to 86%, short of the 90%
required to make the RM5.50 a share general offer unconditional.
Maybank KE Research said its trading idea was a Take Profit call on MISC with downside target areas at RM4.28 and RM4.08.
