WCT to focus on hospitality, shopping malls

KLANG: WCT Bhd
will focus on new growth in its hospitality and shopping mall
divisions. Plans are also underway to have a mall in Johor and another
in Petaling Jaya.
Chairman Datuk Capt Ahmad Sufian said on Friday the company plans to add more shopping centres, such as Paradigm Mall, into its portfolio.
He was speaking at a press conference after the company's EGM.
The company, which will soon be known as WCT Holdings Bhd, already has plans for a mall in Kemayan, Johor and Overseas Union Garden, Petaling Jaya.
In
June, WCT Holdings will assume the listing status of WCT Bhd. Ahmad
Sufian said the new structure will allow the company to streamline and
properly segregate the business.
WCT Bhd will focus on the civil
engineering and construction operations while its property development
and investment will come under WCT Land.
