Spot News TM to provide broadband to 4,000 homes in Nusajaya

KUALA LUMPUR (April 26): TELEKOM MALAYSIA BHD [] (TM) will
provide its high-speed broadband (HSBB) service to more than 4,000
residences developed by UEM Land Bhd in Nusajaya, Johor.
UEM Land, a wholly owned subsidiary of UEM LAND HOLDINGS BHD
[] (ULHB), is committing a capital expenditure of RM14 million to obtain
TM's HSBB service UniFi, said ULHB managing director/chief executive
officer Datuk Wan Abdullah Wan Ibrahim.
"UEM Land will pay for UniFi connectivity for the residents, as they will
get the services for free for up to 24 months," he told the media after a
signing ceremony between UEM Land and TM for the HSBB provision.
Wan Abdullah added, "However, buyers of the more affordable homes
will receive the service for 12 months only."
The HSBB provision obtained by UEM Land will cover residences in
Puteri Harbour, East Ledang, Nusa Bayu and Nusa Idaman.
Signing on behalf of TM was its group chief executive officer Datuk Seri
Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa.
