KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia Bhd expects a surge in the number of passengers at the various airports throughout Malaysia following the 13th General Election.
The
low-cost carrier had on Monday advised passengers to arrive at least
three hours before their flights to avoid possible congestion.
“AirAsia
received 35,000 daily passengers that went through the Low Cost Carrier
Terminal (LCCT) to travel to their respective constituencies to vote
during the 13th GE, and the airline expects equal number of passengers
to return,” it said.
It advised passengers to arrive at the
airports at least three hours befire their flights and clear all travel
formalities as early as possible to avoid any possible congestion. It
urged AirAsia passengers to use the web check-in and mobile check-in
services. Web and mobile check-in services are available 14 days before
their scheduled departure flight up to 60 minutes prior.
