Tan Chong to launch Nissan Leaf in Q3
Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd, the sole distributor of Nissan cars in
Malaysia, is to launch the all-electric Nissan LEAF in the third quarter
of this year, executive director Datuk David Chen said today.
The network expansion of electric vehicles' (EVs) charging stations
in Kuala Lumpur and other cities would support the much anticipated
launch of the Nissan LEAF, he told reporters at the launch of the EV
charging station at Bangsar Shopping Centre, in Kuala Lumpur.
Chen said the EV charging stations were initiatives by the private
sector to support government's efforts to go green, promote sustainable
mobility and set up an EV charging infrastructure in Malaysia.
"We are indeed glad today that Bangsar Shopping Centre has joined us
in sharing this same vision and commitment towards a greener
environment and healthier lifestyle," he added.
