Nissan Teana crowned best local assembled sedan

The Nissan Teana 2.5 V6 was named the "Best Local Assembly Executive Sedan" at the recent Asian Auto-Auto Industry Awards 2011. The event, held in Subang Jaya, was attended by more than 120 representatives of 34 car companies.
In a statement here today, the Teana's distributor, Edaran Tan Chong Sdn Bhd (ETCM) said the judges were impressed by the car's good engine response, quiet cabin at high speed and overall build quality against its reasonable selling price.
Derived from the Native American word meaning "dawn", the Teana has also garnered numerous awards overseas, including "King of Comfort" in China, "Indonesian Car of the Year" and "Life's Motoring Best Buys of the Year" in the category of large sedans by Singapore's Straits Times.
In November last year, ETCM introduced the Nissan Teana to the local market with three variants, namely the 2.0L and 2.5L V6, assembled at its Serendah Plant and the Teana 3.5L V6, which is fully imported from Japan. -- Bernama
