KLCC REIT to attract quality investors

KUALA LUMPUR (May 9): KLCC PROPERTY HOLDINGS BHD []
(KLCCP) aims to attract quality investors into the KLCC Real Estate
Investment Trust (KLCC REIT), according to KLCCP chief executive
officer Hashim Wahir.
Speaking to reporters at the listing of KLCC REIT stapled securities
today, Hashim said the KLCC REIT has received many inquiries from
institutional fund managers.
"With our asset class, we expect to gain the attention of more
high-quality investors." Hashim said when asked about the REIT's
potential.
KLCC REIT's debut on the stock exchange today saw the stock rising
as much as 6% in the morning session. As at 12.30pm the stock was
traded at RM7.68.
On KLCCP's future projects, Hashim said he group is focusing on the
redevelopment of Kompleks Dayabumi and a 0.6ha (1.4 acre) land near
the 75%-owned Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
"We are currently in the process of securing anchor tenants for the
projects," said Hashim.
