KLCI futures close higher on buying interest

KUALA LUMPUR (May 9): The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM
KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher
today on buying interest despite the easier cash market, dealers said.
At the close, spot month May 2013 added 2.5 points to 1,773, while
June 2013 and December 2013 gained two points each to 1,772.5 and
1,764.5 respectively.
September 2013 was unchanged at 1,766.
Turnover declined to 6,092 lots from yesterday's 8,591 lots while open
interest decreased to 41,282 contracts from 43,199 contracts
previously.
The underlying FBM KLCI eased 7.93 points to 1,766.07. -- BERNAMA
