KUALA LUMPUR: Blue chips on Bursa Malaysia eked out small gains but
the overall sentiment was steady, with rising interest in small
capitalised and lower liners as more retail investors ventured into the
market.
At 12.30pm, the FBM KLCI was up 1.75 points or 0.10% to
1,768.47. Turnover was 1.04 billion shares valued at RM820.06mil. There
were 416 gainers, 283 losers and 278 stocks unchanged.
Local
funds were seen staying on the sidelines. On Thursday, foreign funds
were net buyers on Thursday, buying RM181.20mil of equities while local
funds were net sellers of RM189.20mil. Retail investors were net buyers
at RM8mil shares.
DKSH was the top gainer, adding 37 sen to RM5.22, CMSB 32 sen higher at RM5.12 while Orental Holdings gained 24 sen to RM10.40, Warisan 21 sen to RM2.75. Hunza Property rose 20 sen to RM2.30 and Deleum 19 sen to RM3.39.
Among the bigger cap stocks, Dutch Lady rose 32 sen to RM47.80 and Petronas Dagangan gained 20 sen to RM25
