Pintaras surges to all-time high on higher earnings

KUALA LUMPUR: Shares of Pintaras Jaya Bhd
surged to RM4.08, which was a record high after its earnings rose 54.3%
to RM13.81mil in the third quarter ended March 31, 2013 from RM8.95mil a
year ago.
At 10.41am, it was up 26 sen to RM4.03. There were 123,600 shares done at prices ranging from RM3.85 to RM4.08.
The
FBM KLCI was up 7.53 points to 1,776.69. Turnover was 973.70 million
shares valued at RM624.45mil. There were 579 gainers, 136 losers and 222
counters unchanged.
Last Friday, the construction-based Pintaras
Jaya the higher earnings were mainly due to higher profits realised
from completed projects though revenue slipped 5.8% to RM42.43mil from
RM45.06mil.
It also announced a dividend of 10 sen a share. Its EPS were 17.30 sen.
For
the nine months, its earnings rose 6% to RM36.16mil from RM34.12mil but
revenue slipped 10.2% to RM122.14mil from RM136.11mil.
