Country View rallies to record high of RM3.60

KUALA LUMPUR: Country View Bhd's shares extended its rally to surge to an all-time high of RM3.60 on Tuesday as investors chased the stock after it posted a strong set of earnings.
At 10.43am, the property firm's shares rose 63 sen to RM3.60. There were 65,300 shares traded between RM3 and RM3.70. It rose 68 sen to RM2.97 on Monday.
At RM3.60, it is trading at a price to earnings (P/E) of 7.1 times.
The FBM KLCI was up 2.61 points to 1,790.41. Turnover was 732 million shares done valued at RM484.9mil.
The Johor-based company reported that earnings for the quarter ended March 31, 2013 jumped RM17.2 mil from RM5.90mil a year ago.
