Felda offers to buy Iris shares

Felda offers to buy Iris shares

PETALING JAYA: Iris Corp Bhd has received an offer from Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) to subscribe for up to 394.1 million new ordinary shares, representing 25% of the issued and paid-up capital of Iris at a price of 28 sen, thus raising some RM110.3mil.

Iris told Bursa Malaysia that its board had resolved to accept the offer from Felda, which it received on Thursday.

From the proceeds, some RM30mil will be used to repay bank borrowings, RM25mil for capital expenditure and RM47mil for working capital purposes.
