KUALA LUMPUR:  IRIS Corporation Bhd has denied a possible takeover by its major shareholder, Federal Land Development Authority (Felda).

Group managing director and CEO, Datuk Tan Say Jim told pressmen today: "As far as the board is concerned, there is no discussion."

Earlier, at the extraordinary general meeting (EGM) held at its headquarter today,  Tan said the board had obtained a blanket approval from shareholders for the proposed related-party transactions worth about RM500 million on projects awarded by Felda under its "Sentuhan Kaseh" scheme.

As of today, Felda has a 26.7% stake in IRIS.
